QUANTITY AND QUALITY TESTS

SEM CHECKS AND EDX TEST

SEM checks are carried out on random product batches to ascertain the accuracy of the mechanical processing.
The EDX analysis is carried out at a depth of a few microns. It reveals information on how clean the implant is and chemically analyses any parts and specific areas to understand the origin and, as a result, improve manufacturing and/or cleaning processes.

XPS TEST

This technique is used to analyse the chemical composition of the implant surface at a depth of just 4-5 nanometres.
As a result, XPS (X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy) tests allow us to assess the outer layers in terms of quantity and quality, thereby providing a precise indication of the implant surface that will come into direct contact with the bone tissue.

MECHANICAL TESTS

The mechanical tests are routinely used whenever switching from the design to the production of the first prototypes to ascertain that the design theory is supported by objective mechanical evidence.
Resistance to functional loads is assessed by external bodies through bending and buckling tests, with results that support the absolute reliability of the Evolution2000 Implant System and its prosthetic components.
